About Gautam Nabar

I help people find the parts of themselves they didn't know they had been missing.

For over twenty years, I have worked with leaders, teams, and individuals who have found themselves at a threshold.

Not a crisis. Not a breakdown.
But a quiet knowing that who they have become is not quite who they are.

I began this work in corporate spaces—leadership development, organizational transformation, executive coaching. I still do some of that work through The Crucible, where I help senior leaders navigate complexity, conflict, and change.

But the work that matters most to me now happens in smaller rooms. More intimate spaces. With people who are not looking to optimize themselves but to actually meet themselves.

The Journey That Led Here

I spent years building a version of myself that was competent, admired, successful by most measures. And beneath that version, there were parts of me I had learned to silence.

Parts that were tender. Uncertain. Playful. Raw.

It took me a long time to realize that the cost of that silencing was not just personal—it was relational. It shaped how I showed up with the people I loved, how I led, how I moved through the world.

The Circle of Return grew out of that recognition.

It is the circle I wish had existed when I needed it.
A place where you don’t have to perform.
Where you can be honest about where you actually are.
Where the work is not to fix you but to help you find you.

What I Bring to This Work

Deep Listening

I have spent two decades learning to hear what is not being said. The pauses. The contradictions. The truths people are almost ready to speak.

Honest Holding

I will not fix you, advise you, or tell you what to do. But I will create a space where you can look at yourself clearly and compassionately.

Personal Experience

Everything I ask of participants, I have asked of myself. This is not theory. It is practice forged in my own return.

The Book: Returning to Myself

In 2026, I published my first book—Returning to Myself.

It is a raw, unfiltered account of my own journey back to the parts of myself I had abandoned in order to belong. It explores masculinity, tenderness, wounding, and what it means to come home to yourself.

The Circle of Return emerged from the same inquiry this book documents. Many participants read it before or after their journey. It is not required—but it deepens the work.

Beyond the Circle

When I’m not facilitating circles or coaching leaders, you’ll find me:

1. Writing essays about identity, belonging, and inner work
2. Sipping slow coffee in quiet corners of Mumbai
3. Exploring what it means to live a life that feels like yours

I share reflections, questions, and invitations through my Writing page. If this work speaks to you, that’s a good place to start.
